First Aid class will cover,

· Controlling bleeding
· Questions to ask a injured or ill person, recovery position
· Proper methods for moving a person if necessary
· Protecting yourself with gloves and face barrier devices
· The Good Samaritan Law
· Consent
· Calling 911 for a land line or a cell phone
BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS
This class is recommended for individuals whose jobs put them at risk for exposure to blood and bodily fluids. Class will cover,
· Common bloodborne pathogen
· How to minimize exposure
· Steps to follow if exposed
Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
This class is recommended for employees of child care centers and individuals providing care for children 24 months or younger.* Class will cover,
· Understanding SBS and SIDS
· Early childhood brain development
· SBS and SIDS risk factors
· Preventing SBS and SIDS
· Managing stress
